Installation

How to Install Self-Drilling Screws

1
Position the materials. Align the sheet-metal or cladding components in their required final position and hold them securely.
2
Mark the fixing point. Mark the required screw positions so the fixing pattern remains neat and consistent.
3
Fit the matching screw bit. Fit our Self Drilling Screw Bit into a compatible drill or driver and make sure it is seated securely.
4
Load and position the screw. Seat the screw head fully into the driver bit, position the self-drilling point against the fixing location and keep the fixing square to the surface.
5
Drive at a controlled speed. Apply steady pressure while the self-drilling point penetrates the suitable sheet material and the thread begins to engage.
6
Seat the fixing. Stop once the screw head is seated firmly against the material. Avoid excessive tightening that could distort thin cladding or damage the fixing.
