Smart-ECO Trace Heating Temperature Controller
The Solco Pyroelec Smart-ECO is an electronic air or surface-sensing thermostat designed to provide measurement and ON/OFF control for SOLCO PYROELEC trace heating cables.
The controller switches the heating load through a 20A control relay and also provides fault monitoring and feedback through a 2A BMS fault alarm relay.
Smart-ECO is designed for air or surface-sensing applications between -20°C and +99°C in non-hazardous areas.
When to Choose Smart-ECO
Smart-ECO is designed for non-hazardous trace heating installations where air or surface temperature sensing, ON/OFF heating control and basic fault feedback are required.
Air Temperature Sensing
The supplied temperature sensor can be used for applications where the trace heating circuit is controlled according to air temperature.
Surface Temperature Sensing
Smart-ECO can also operate from a surface temperature measurement where control is based on the temperature at the sensing location.
BMS Fault Feedback
A dedicated BMS fault alarm relay allows fault information from the controller to be provided to a compatible Building Management System.

How Smart-ECO Works
Measure Temperature
The supplied NTC thermistor sensor measures the temperature at the selected air or surface sensing location.
Control the Heating Load
Smart-ECO provides ON/OFF control of the trace heating load through its 20A control relay according to the controller's temperature setting.
Monitor for Faults
The controller monitors defined fault conditions and provides feedback through its BMS fault alarm relay.
