How to Use the Self Drilling Screw Bit

Fit the bit into your driver. Insert the screw bit securely into a compatible drill or driver before starting the installation.

Position the cladding or sheet metal. Align the components in their required final position and mark the fixing locations if required.
3
Place the screw into the bit. Seat the hex head of the matching self-drilling screw fully into the driver bit.
4
Keep the fixing square. Position the self-drilling point against the fixing location and keep the screw square to the material.
5
Drive at a controlled speed. Apply steady pressure while the self-drilling point penetrates the suitable sheet material and the thread engages.
6
Seat the fixing securely. Stop once the screw head is seated firmly against the material. Avoid overtightening, particularly when working with thin cladding.

Prefer Riveted Cladding Joints?
