ROCKWOOL DuctWrap – Foil-Faced Duct Insulation Roll
ROCKWOOL DuctWrap is a flexible stone wool insulation roll with a factory-applied reinforced aluminium foil facing. Designed primarily for thermal insulation of circular ventilation ductwork, it provides reliable insulation for HVAC, air-conditioning, warm-air and extract duct systems.
With a declared thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK at 10°C and Euroclass A1 reaction-to-fire classification, DuctWrap helps limit heat transfer and supports condensation control when correctly specified and installed.
Available in 25mm, 40mm and 50mm thicknesses. Select the required option above to suit your duct insulation specification.

Circular HVAC Ductwork
Flexible insulation for circular ventilation ducts used in air-conditioning, warm-air distribution and mechanical extract systems.
Thermal Insulation
Reduces heat transfer through insulated ductwork, with a declared thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK at 10°C.
Condensation Control
Helps prevent condensation on chilled ductwork when the correct thickness is selected and the foil vapour barrier is correctly sealed.

Properties are based on ROCKWOOL's official DuctWrap and DuctSlab technical information. Thermal conductivity varies with operating temperature. Insulation thickness must be selected so that the outer foil surface does not exceed 80°C.
Buying Guide
How Much DuctWrap Do You Need?
For circular ductwork, calculate the developed wrap length using ROCKWOOL's formula:
L = 3.14 × (OD + 2t)
OD = duct outside diameter
in metres
t = insulation thickness
in metres
L = approximate wrap length
around the insulated duct.
Multiply L by the total straight duct run length to estimate the insulation area, then divide by your selected pack coverage.

Estimating guidance only. Allow additional material for bends, joints, branches, supports and cutting waste. Do not select insulation thickness using area calculations; thickness depends on thermal and condensation-control requirements.
Installation Guidance
Installing ROCKWOOL DuctWrap
Wrap & Support
Apply the insulation around the ductwork using appropriate support and fixing arrangements. Avoid excessive compression, which reduces effective insulation thickness.
Seal Aluminium Foil Joints
ROCKWOOL specifies a minimum 75mm-wide suitable soft aluminium self-adhesive tape for applicable joints to maintain foil facing continuity.
Chilled Ductwork
Below-ambient systems require a continuous vapour barrier. Seal exposed edges, joints and any fixing penetrations in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance.
External Installations
Provide suitable weatherproof protection for external ductwork. The aluminium foil facing alone should not be relied upon as complete weatherproof cladding.

Can DuctWrap prevent condensation?
Correctly specified DuctWrap can help prevent condensation on chilled ducts when the insulation thickness is adequate and the reinforced foil vapour barrier is continuous and sealed.
Is ROCKWOOL DuctWrap non-combustible?
Yes. ROCKWOOL DuctWrap has Euroclass A1 reaction-to-fire classification. This does not automatically establish a fire-resistance rating for the complete ductwork system.
Can DuctWrap be installed outdoors?
Yes, where a suitable external insulation system is specified. Appropriate weatherproof protection, fixings and joint sealing are required.
What is the maximum service temperature?
ROCKWOOL states a maximum service temperature of 230°C. The insulation must be specified to keep the outer foil surface at or below 80°C to maintain the facing bond.
