What is Rockwool Pipe Insulation in PIB Cladding?

It is a mineral wool pipe insulation section with PIB weatherproof cladding already attached.

How to Apply Rockwool Pipe Insulation in PIB Cladding

Fit the Rockwool section around the pipe, close the foil lap, then solvent-seal the PIB cladding overlap.

This is a basic installation guide only. Always follow the project specification, site requirements and competent installer guidance.

Check the Pipe Size

Select the correct pipe outside diameter and insulation thickness before fitting. Dry-fit first to confirm the section closes correctly.

Fit Around the Pipe

Open the Rockwool pipe section and position it around the pipe so the insulation sits neatly without gaps or compression.

Peel and Stick the Foil

Remove the backing from the foil lap and press the foil closure firmly along the length of the pipe section.

Seal the PIB Cladding

Apply PIB solvent to the PIB overlap and seal the outer cladding to create a weather-resistant finish.

For joints, end details, small gaps or finishing work between sections, use PIB Strips with the PIB Application Kit to help complete the weatherproof cladding detail.
